We are Steven and Joe, Whitaker, and along with our dedicated team of fully trained staff we produce top quality horses for competition.

Based in Barnsley, South Yorkshire, we have a wealth of experience in all areas of our sport and together we have won countless competitions up to and including at 5 star level and have competed in several nations Nations Cup competitions.

We are passionate about horses and showjumping and our team success at every level of the sport is testimony to our commitment. Many of the horses that have been successful for us were either homebred or produced by us from novices we believe we have an unbeatable eye for a talented horse.

As part of our stud services we can use our expertise to advise you on the most suitable of our stallions for your mare.  We always have a large number of our stallions progeny available for you to see and in some cases available for sale.

In fact, we can provide you with any help, support and advice you may need with regard to any area of the sport and our friendly team are always happy to help.

  • We are looking for a person who takes pride in what they do and have high standards in care and turn out
  • Reliable full time groom to help look after our show jumping horses and brood mares
  • Handling young stock

The position is varied and will include all aspects of stud work and requires a hands on, hard working and committed individual

Previous experience essential

Must be able to drive a car and tractor

The successful applicant will be:

  • Our ideal candidate will be a person who takes pride in all that they do and have high standards in care and turn out
  • Home groom with opportunity to go to shows if needed
  • Must be able to take sole charge of yard
